About Renegade Roots – professional Reggae Band based in Birmingham, UK
When Renegade Roots formed in 2018, their goal was to make people happy by bringing quality reggae music into their life.
Giving the listener a true understanding of all reggae represents—from the awareness of hard-hitting origins to the playful early reggae of Island and Trojan albums, to the current sensations and dancehall singles that we all adore—is, in our opinion, the main goal of reggae music.
Renegade Roots was founded as a musical family, and our actions are always motivated by love and unity.

Every member of the band has a wealth of musical experience, ranging from formal training to stage performances with well-known artists in our beloved genre.
Lead singer Sugar is a dynamic performer that never fails to captivate a crowd of any size, age, or objective.
Rich and flexible, his voice can adapt to any vocal challenge the band takes on, whether it's the fast-paced, nimble banter of the dancehall songs we perform or deep, soulful lovers rock tunes.
We just added supporting vocalist Dawn to our lineup. Dawn's stage presence is unmatched, and her vocal skill blends beautifully with Sugar's to produce a rich harmony that has elevated the band's entire sound to new heights.
Two sisters, Anna and Helen, make up our brass section. They deliver the incredible horn lines that reggae music champions in a smooth and incredibly exact manner.
The band is supported by a remarkable group of musicians with a variety of backgrounds and levels of expertise, who use their special talents to shape the Renegade Roots sound and infuse the band's colourful and eclectic personalities into the music we make.
