There are also some very old favourites originally covered by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole etc included in the repertoire.

Please feel free to request a list of the songs performed. The violin is used extensively for all traditional dances, eg. “the pinning of money on the bride and groom”, the “koumbarous and koumeres” dances and other traditional dances.

Due to years of experience performing at weddings, the band are more than happy to guide and advise you on the traditional aspects, form and customs of a typical Greek Cypriot wedding.

The amount of Greek and English music performed at each function is always at the discretion of the client.

The band will always lead the way on what music is played on the night based on their experience, but ultimately the client will always have the last word on this matter.

After all The Greek Wedding Band are there to ensure the evening is a success, and will always ensure a top performance.

Meet the band

Andy​​ - Vocals​

Andy has years of experience in the Greek music scene and with his engaging personality always ensures the couple and their guests have a great evening. Andy also contributes as a percussionist.

Penny - Vocals​

​Penny initially started her career in music with The Greek Wedding Band as a very young girl! after graduating from The BRIT School, where Adele, Jessie J and Amy Winehouse also attended.

Penny has matured into a fantastic vocalist covering both Greek and English songs. Penny also meets with the couples to discuss all the wedding details in advance.

George​ - Violinist & Keyboards​

George is one of the founding members of The Greek Wedding Band and has many years experience both within Greek music and outside of it.

George also performs at the houses on the morning of the wedding for the traditional "Stolisma" playing and singing traditional Cypriot songs with the violin.

Nick - Bouzouki​

Nick is also one of the founding members. His bouzouki playing inspires the whole band and ensures all who love Greek music are up on their feet (and on tables) dancing.

​Peter - Drums

Peter provides the final jigsaw to complete The Greek Wedding Band band sound. His energy and passion to perform to the highest standards sets the tone.
