"We booked The Uprising for my daughter's 21st birthday party and could not have been happier with them. We were a mixed aged group with my daughter's friends and other older family friends. From initial contact to the various requests from my daughter with regard to the playlist the communication from the band was professional and very obliging. They kept the dance floor packed all evening and we really didn’t want them to stop! We couldn’t recommend them highly enough and would definitely book again in the future."

"The Uprising were the perfect band for our Halloween-themed wedding - a perfect mix of classics to get everyone on the floor, and some heavy stuff thrown in at our request or insistence! Extremely friendly and professional to deal with throughout, would highly recommend... 10/10 :)"

"I had the pleasure of working with The Uprising on our Oktoberfest national tour. From start to finish, the guys went above and beyond to ensure that our customers received the best experience possible. They are by far the best cover band I have hired and really know how to get the crowd involved. From a management perspective, I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism and organisation of the band and everything run very smoothly. A huge thank you again to the whole band!"

"The Uprising were absolutely brilliant - "smashed it", "those guys were awesome" - just a couple of the great comments from guests on the night. Beforehand Connor was great at keeping in touch throughout all of COVID and really positive to accommodate various requests and really happy to say all went very smoothly. Delighted that they were as exactly as we wanted and sounded brilliant, with a great mix of songs and a sound that kept the party and dancing going til the very end of the night! Thanks so much to all three - they really help make our night after such a long delay through COVID! Tom."

"We saw you playing on board Fred Olsen cruises in the Caribbean and couldn’t get enough! You made our holiday and it was so enjoyable getting to chat to you on a daily basis. Shame we couldn’t stay on with you for longer, 14 nights wasn’t enough Uprising for our liking!"

"Attended a wedding at Folley Farm in Somerset on 30th August and these guys were the band. They were awesome and filled the dance floor all evening! A good mix of music was played for all ages. Had a chat with them during a short break and they were really nice people very friendly and easy to talk to! I would highly recommend them."

"I would recommend them for any party, celebration or wedding. They were amazing !! The dance floor was never empty, they played a big mix that was heavy on the indie which suits us and our friends. In the lead up to the wedding I emailed and asked if they could learn my hero by the foo fighters. They were so lovely about it as I kept it a secret from Dave. They kept me up to date and were delighted about learning it for us and loved playing it which made me feel even more excited. We both love the Foo fighters and went to see them in June this year, with the wedding looming to the gig for us was even more unforgettable. The Uprising not only played it as good as the Foos but looked the part too. I have had the most positive feedback about the band than anything else. Plus they were super lovely in all communications and to all guests. They had dance moves too!! Everyone at our wedding loved them, we had a very relaxed picnic in the afternoon with lots of food, then a hog roast, so the guests could have been sleepy and too chilled to jump about. Not a chance with this band!!!! Blinding performance. Thank you all so much, were so grateful and feel so pleased we decided on live music, the atmosphere was great and they played all the right songs. Really hoping our friends book you for their weddings now. Best of luck to you not that you need it :) thanks again for being super lovely and friendly too xxxxx"

FAQs

Where are you based and how far will you travel? The Uprising are based in Bristol, UK and are happy to travel all over the UK and abroad!
Can you play background music or DJ for us?Yes! Background music is provided with the standard booking rate and one of the band members can also DJ for you as part of one of our additional extras!
How much space do you require? We require a minimum area of 5m x 3m in order for the band to perform.
What do The Uprising require at the venue?Adequate electrical supply, i.e. a minimum of 2 standard 3 pin, 13 amp power sockets near the performance area that are independent, i.e. NOT shared with catering, disco, etc. This should save overloading any circuits! If we are running off of a generator, we run no more than 3000 watts from a 230 volt supply = 13 amps. We also ask if some food and soft drinks can be provided, especially if we’re there a long time!
How long do you take to set up?The ideal amount of time for us to load in, set up and sound check is 90 minutes. We can arrive earlier in the day to fit around your requirements which may incur an additional fee and some hospitality. This can be arranged during the booking process.
What do the performers usually wear?We will always dress appropriately depending on the type of event. For example weddings/corporate events they will wear smart attire. They will always make the effort to dress up for any themed/fancy dress events.
Can we make DJ requests in advance of the event? If you have any specific songs you would like to be played via the DJ we would need to receive these prior to the event so we can include them into the playlist and we will do our best to accommodate as best we can. If we cannot provide the songs you would like then we would encourage you to provide your own laptop/MP3 device to play the songs that can then be plugged into the band's PA system.
Can I pick your setlist?Although we don't apply a policy whereby you can select the whole show, if there are any songs you would particularly like to/not hear from our repertoire please let us know and we can arrange something for you. However, I would recommend keeping this to a minimum as we are constantly evolving a set that works great dynamically and keeps the vast majority of crowds happy!
Will you learn our special song? The band are more than happy to play any songs that might be requested, however some songs can be unsuitable for the band to play. If this is the case we will let you know that they are unable to play your requested song. If you do have a special song that you would like the band to play for your event just let us know when making the booking. That way they will have plenty of time to learn it for you.
Can we use your sound system for speeches? You are welcome to use our sound system for speeches, however if this requires the act to arrive at the venue earlier than scheduled, this will need to be taken into consideration and an extra fee may apply.
Do you have PAT and PLI certificates? We will always have up to date PAT and PLI certificates and can provide a copy of these upon request.
How much do you charge? The band endeavour to be as flexible as possible to suit your requirements. We will review your requests and tailor a quote specifically for you.
