"Wow! We booked Disciples of Soul for our wedding in July and what an absolutely incredible find they were. I honestly can't describe the pure joy that hit the dance floor when they started playing. The sound was unbelievably epic and our guests did not stop dancing for the entirety of their sets. The band even learnt and performed our first dance song live which was such a special moment for us. All of our friends and family could not stop talking about how amazing Disciples of Soul were, they were an absolute highlight of our day. As music lovers, having strong evening entertainment was a must and we hit the jackpot with these guys! We both have musical backgrounds and musicians in the family so the pressure was very much on. Disciples of Soul wiped the floor with any fears we might have had and blew us all away with their talent, professionalism and friendliness. I wish we had another reason to book them straight away and will continue to recommend them to anyone and everyone I meet."

"We couldn't recommend the Disciples of Soul more highly for a wedding band; they were exactly what we were looking for as a funk and soul band with two singers and brass instruments. The band took the time to get to know us ahead of time and were a huge help with timing recommendations and putting together a song arrangement for our first dance. The sets they played on the day were fantastic, getting everyone up and dancing, interacting with the crowd, and ensuring that all of our guests had a great time!"

"We booked the Disciples of Soul (based in Manchester and Liverpool) through FixTheMusic.com for our Cambridge wedding and they were phenomenal! Most of our c. 120 guests were dancing the whole night long and many guests told us they were the best wedding band they had ever seen (we agree!) The band learned our first dance especially, as well as a secret solo which they played brilliantly. Thanks so much to Jim (the drummer) in particular for liaising with me so thoroughly in the lead up, and Lew (the pianist) for playing me down the aisle and during the drinks reception. "We were looking for an authentic soul-dancehall experience for our wedding and could not believe the value that Disciples of Soul offered as a 9-piece band, complete with brass section. Their energy was better than any live show I’ve been to - they clearly love playing together and this gave an incredible infectious buzz to the whole dance floor. I’ve never seen so many guests dance so hard for so long!! There were little running battles between each instrumentalist, breathtaking drum, bass, guitar solos, plus personalised adaptations to modern and classic soul hits, all delivered by huge powerful vocals. The physical exertion of the brass section alone was staggering!! If you truly want a real dancehall experience, nothing can compare to this band unless you’ve managed somehow to reunite the Supremes themselves!! Furthermore, the band looked so classy, suited, booted and glamorous. Perhaps most importantly, they were a joy to work with, making the arrangements simple and reassuring - we dealt with the drummer, Jim who was accommodating and courteous throughout, the band even learned our first dance for us and tailored the set to include requests. It was the best feature of the wedding, and easily the best value for money I have ever spent on anything!! I will now try to find an excuse to re-book this band for something… anything!!!"

"JIM!!! I feel so terrible that I did not get over to the band before they left to hug them and thank them. I kept trying but was bombarded by guests. They made the wedding so unbelievably special and the singer's voice is one of the angels, truly. She completely blew me away with Nina Simone and Aretha. Please share my thanks with them. "Disciples of Soul were fantastic at our wedding! They were professional and accomodating throughout lockdown as unfortunately we had to postpone due to the pandemic. We were sceptical about what the standard of a band could be at a wedding but Disciples of Soul did not disappoint. The dance floor was bouncing and everybody jumped to the dancefloor straight away. We had a Halloween themed reception so we requested that they do their own version of Put a Spell on you from the film Hocus Pocus. They took it further and found the exact score from the film and threw in Thriller as well. We had a few bits of fancy dress around and they were more than happy to get involved and even started painting their faces. It seemed like anything you asked them to do they would try their best to accommodate you. The quality of the band was perfect. We had two singers and I wouldn't be able to pick who was the best singer- they were both brilliant. You have made a mistake if you don't pick this band."

"We have been to watch Disciples of Soul perform a number of times in Chester and have absolutely loved every show. We booked Disciples of Soul to play at our wedding which was on 31st August 2021, and we were not disappointed. The band were incredible as always, our guests have all complimented the band, and the dance floor was full the entire time they performed. Even the owner of our venue asked for the band's details so she can recommend them to other guests. Great communication all round, would not hesitate to book again for future events and will be coming to watch you guys play again in the near future.
