"We were looking for an authentic soul-dancehall experience for our wedding and could not believe the value that Disciples of Soul offered as a 9-piece band, complete with brass section. Their energy was better than any live show I’ve been to - they clearly love playing together and this gave an incredible infectious buzz to the whole dance floor. I’ve never seen so many guests dance so hard for so long!! There were little running battles between each instrumentalist, breathtaking drum, bass, guitar solos, plus personalised adaptations to modern and classic soul hits, all delivered by huge powerful vocals. The physical exertion of the brass section alone was staggering!! If you truly want a real dancehall experience, nothing can compare to this band unless you’ve managed somehow to reunite the Supremes themselves!! Furthermore, the band looked so classy, suited, booted and glamorous. Perhaps most importantly, they were a joy to work with, making the arrangements simple and reassuring - we dealt with the drummer, Jim who was accommodating and courteous throughout, the band even learned our first dance for us and tailored the set to include requests. It was the best feature of the wedding, and easily the best value for money I have ever spent on anything!! I will now try to find an excuse to re-book this band for something… anything!!!"

"JIM!!! I feel so terrible that I did not get over to the band before they left to hug them and thank them. I kept trying but was bombarded by guests. They made the wedding so unbelievably special and the singer's voice is one of the angels, truly. She completely blew me away with Nina Simone and Aretha. Please share my thanks with them. "Disciples of Soul were fantastic at our wedding! They were professional and accomodating throughout lockdown as unfortunately we had to postpone due to the pandemic. We were sceptical about what the standard of a band could be at a wedding but Disciples of Soul did not disappoint. The dance floor was bouncing and everybody jumped to the dancefloor straight away. We had a Halloween themed reception so we requested that they do their own version of Put a Spell on you from the film Hocus Pocus. They took it further and found the exact score from the film and threw in Thriller as well. We had a few bits of fancy dress around and they were more than happy to get involved and even started painting their faces. It seemed like anything you asked them to do they would try their best to accommodate you. The quality of the band was perfect. We had two singers and I wouldn't be able to pick who was the best singer- they were both brilliant. You have made a mistake if you don't pick this band."

"We have been to watch Disciples of Soul perform a number of times in Chester and have absolutely loved every show. We booked Disciples of Soul to play at our wedding which was on 31st August 2021, and we were not disappointed. The band were incredible as always, our guests have all complimented the band, and the dance floor was full the entire time they performed. Even the owner of our venue asked for the band's details so she can recommend them to other guests.
