"ROAMEO were amazing! We had a relaxed outdoor pizza party the night before our wedding and we wanted a band that would get people dancing, but would not be too formal. ROAMEO were the perfect solution as they roamed through the party, ramping up the energy with the crowd. By the end everyone was dancing - even my Dad who never dances. Their set list was awesome, with some fab 90s tunes mixed in with some of the favourites. The energy of the guys was off the charts - as good if not better than the videos. "We thought ROAMEO would be good from the promotional videos but we didn't realise just how good they would be. We booked them for our wedding and they performed a couple of sets. Their sit-down set during the canapés was perfect and had a few people dancing after being at the reception for maybe just an hour. When they kicked off the show later on though, it really stepped up a gear. The actual performance was flawless, the set list was excellent and their style of walking around the dancefloor was amazing, dancing with us and the guests while they played. It says a lot that ROAMEO have been the first thing any of our guests have mentioned to us after the wedding as a highlight. We really couldn't recommend them more for any event where you want something special. FixTheMusic were also excellent in the run up to the event. They made their requirements clear, had good communication about logistics of getting the musicians to Spain and were overall very helpful and good at communicating with us."

"Hi James and ROAMEO team, Where the hell do I begin?! This might be the most unusable review you've ever received but I will continue as what I witnessed on Saturday was truly remarkable and this data should be used in the form of some sort of science experiment. We booked you guys over a year ago and our aim was to make the dinner part of our wedding a little more interesting. In the time from booking to the day, I had been stalking any kind of social media you guys had posted and thought 'Are these guys going to be a little too much for our audience?'. I even recollect an email I sent asking for a 'toned down version' and 'less rappy performance'. How wrong was I? I met the guys just before the dinner and they were so welcoming and looked excited to be there. We took our seats for dinner and I knew we were going to have fun. The doors swung open and the band swagged out with a couple of little sound check notes on their instruments. Alex gave the crowd a little 'Oh' on the mic and everyone's attention was drawn to them. I could tell people were starting to salivate over what was to come. The first song was 'All Night Long' and a few people started to join in on the first chorus, I saw one of my friends turn to his wife and give her the nod of approval. My sister caught my eye and gave me the thumbs up and my wife stood up and started to join in. By the second chorus, within about a minute, everyone was on their feet dancing around the band. I thought this was the first song, how could they top this?! AND THEN HE GRABBED THE SAXOPHONE!!! People lost their minds! The absolute bangers kept coming and the whole crowd started to loosen up. My mother shouted at me in disbelief 'Where did you find them?!' to which one of the bridesmaids responded 'I know!!!'. Throughout the rest of the performance, I saw ladies in healthy marriages twerking the singers whilst their husbands filmed them, inhibitions were thrown out the window by ladies wearing way too risky dresses and some very heterosexual men were slut dropping like it was Friday night outside the Moulin Rouge. I saw guys trying to play along with the guitars using their shirt braces whilst the older crowd were bringing out moves from the archives they haven't used since the 70s. My new father in law who doesn't speak much English was body popping in the middle of the circle and my step mother who has just recovered from surgery was up on her feet. I should have put a warning on the invitations to upgrade their health insurance and made them sign a waiver on arrival. Every song was performed to such a high level and the crowd interaction was incredible, everyone thought they were up on stage at Wembley like groupies. I thought your social media was good but it doesn't do you guys justice, you are 1000 times better live. Every single guest said you were the highlight of the wedding which my wife is jealous about as she didn't book you, I did. I can't recommend you guys enough and will be throwing your name about like it's gone out of fashion. We need to find an excuse to book you guys again! We have some videos, where's best to send them? WhatsApp? Thank you so so much for everything, you were professional, helpful and an absolute blast from the moment we booked to the moment you left. "The guys were incredible. They made our wedding day. All of our friends and family are pretty much unanimous in that you are the best band they have ever seen at a wedding. When the guys stood on the steps of the barn playing in the afternoon it created a great atmosphere. It was so chilled out and fun. Then in the evening it went off! The energy, the song choices were all perfect (although admittedly, stood dancing with my mum to the thong song was a weird moment). Rio was absolutely brilliant with the kids too, they idolised him and he was so patient with them, including them in so many of the songs. Part of me wonders why ROAMEO's approach isn't the standard for weddings since it's so obviously superior to the normal setup, but the other part of me recognises that assembling a lineup with both the talent and charisma to pull it off is no mean feat. These guys knocked it out of the park and made the evening. I've had a number of requests for their contact details and as soon as I've ascertained that this is to book them rather than to ask them out on dates I shall send them your way. And that Thong Song arrangement...Hamish also rose to the occasion magnificently - his track selection was perfect, his handling of drunken Zimbabwean requests was professional, and I'm very grateful to him for expanding his range for the night. The dancefloor was packed throughout, and the atmosphere was great. I should also give a shout-out to the sound engineer, who very quickly made the necessary adjustments to the setup. And also to you - thank you for all your help and flexibility over the last few months. Planning an event during COVID is not straightforward, but arranging the music was really straightforward."

"We were absolutely thrilled with ROAMEO from start to finish. They were hugely accommodating with our very bespoke needs from the outset and really helped us to envision what we could achieve and how. Then the band themselves were beyond fantastic! Such talented musicians and really entertaining, unique performers. We had 3 guests who were either musicians themselves or really picky with music and all 3 came up to me of their own accord to rave about ROAMEO - which made us very smug indeed! They were also absolutely charming people and even helped us in a sticky situation when someone kicked the lights in to the river and we had to fix it from a short circuit. "We just wanted to say a massive thank you! The process of booking the band was very simple. We liaised with James about timings on the day etc and they agreed to get an early flight to our wedding in France to give us extra peace of mind on the day which was great. Since the venue was not “kitted out “, James assisted us with booking the sound systems and lighting through a company in France. This was a massive help as we wouldn’t have known what was needed. James continued to liaise with the company right up until the day to make sure all the logistics were sorted for us. When we met on the day the whole band (and DJ) were very friendly and personable. The band also took into account our song choices and agreed on the day (nothing like last minute on our part!) to play our first dance song - “sure - no problem “ was the response when they were asked on the evening itself! In terms of the actual music - it was amazing! It’s a bit worrying booking a band when you haven’t heard them in person beforehand but they definitely live up to their videos on the website! Everyone LOVED the band. A few of the comments we received from guests were: “Best band EVER!”, “We have been to a LOT of weddings -we are old!! - and I can say that band was our favourite - amazing!“ “I write events journalism (the person is a professional journalist) and I like watching events for that reason and I can honestly say that is the first time ever at a wedding or other event, that I have seen EVERYONE up and out of their chair dancing!” This was true - when the band were playing not a single person was sitting down! The comments continued in a similar vein from all of our other guests. They certainly know how to “work a crowd” and the involvement with everyone there was brilliant. The DJ that we booked through them was also brilliant and judged the crowd well. Would recommend! Next plan is for us to try to think of another event so we have a good excuse to hire you all again!!
