About Lucky Numbers Swing Band – professional jazz & swing band based in London
Lucky Numbers are an energetic swing ensemble, that guarantees to get your feet tapping with their exciting arrangements from the swing era and beyond.
The band was founded with dancing in mind, but we find that our broad repertoire is popular with all ages and tastes.
Ideal for weddings, parties and dance events, Lucky Numbers Swing Band is a professional, experienced and entertaining band that always goes down well!
We're regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at West Kent Golf Club in Orpington and Trafalgar Tavern in London, UK.
Lucky Numbers often perform as a quartet or quintet for more cosy, intimate gigs, but we are more in our element as the 'full throttle' 6 piece band heard on the recordings.

Our standard lineup is a six piece. However, if you're planning on hosting a more quiet and intimate event then why not book The Lucky Numbers quartet (Vocals, Saxophone, Double Bass and Drums).
Or their completely acoustic instrumental jazz (Saxophone, Trumpet, Double Bass and Drums).
Please see the smaller band promotional videos (Drums can be substituted for Guitar if necessary).
The core element of our music is based on the 1920s swing style, including classic swing songs such as the Charleston, "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing" and "Is you is or is you ain't my baby".
However, we also cater for a larger audience by performing up to date chart songs by artists such as George Ezra, Beyonce, Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk and many more.
We mainly perform with our female singer, but If you have a particular preference just let us know, but unfortunately we can't guarantee that the specific singer you want will be available!
All of our singers are very talented, professional musicians and we don't like to let gender single them out! There is also the option of having 2 singers, or our popular instrumental version of the band.
Lucky Numbers was founded in 2014 by Pete and Jack, two recent graduates of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
We have performed at hundreds of corporate events and weddings, and also Jazz clubs and festivals, including London Jazz Festival, Brecon Jazz Festival, Langnau Jazz Nights Switzerland, The 606 Club London, Hay Festival of literature and art and countless more.
We have also had the privilege to play for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and other prestigious events for high-profile clients such as GQ magazine.
Have a look at our website to find out more about who we are, and what we do. There are also loads of great bands to check out if you are looking for something slightly different.

"Fantastic service and fantastic and friendly band. Everyone loved the music and were sad when the event finished. We will be booking you again. Thank you!"
"Can I say a massive thank you to you for all your efforts on Saturday night. The music was superb and many of our guests have commented on the quality and originality of the music. It suited everyone of all ages and everyone was up dancing which was exactly what we were hoping for. The whole experience was great, from the ease of booking to your response to my questions, thank you. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you and will certainly look to book you for any future family celebrations!"
"The band were really helpful when we contacted them before the wedding. On the day they set up with no fuss, and let us borrow their mics for our speeches. Their 3 sets were all really good - everyone was dancing from the beginning until the end, and everyone has been commenting on what a great band they are. They were so full of energy, and even ended up wearing props from our photo booth which added to the fun - the drummer looked great in a fez!"
"Hiya, I just want to say how wonderful you guys were at our wedding. The jazz trio were perfect for the meal and everyone commented on how perfect the music for the dancing was. You guys were so calm and cool during setup and the music and singing were swinging and awesome. You managed to get my uncle, in his 80s, spontaneously grabbing his wife dancing for the first time in many many years! We wanted to make sure you knew how much we appreciated you guys. All the best, Alice and Charlie."
"They were outstanding and amazingly relaxed and flexible...exactly what you need on your wedding day when nothing seems to run quite to plan!"
"We couldn't have been more delighted with Lucky Numbers Swing Band's performance, the dance floor was packed from the moment they started and stayed that way for the whole set!"
"Hi guys, I just wanted to say thank you so much for playing at our wedding on Easter Sunday! Josh and I thought you guys were absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much for helping to create such a memorable evening. The vintage songs you selected worked so well with the theme of our day and the cover you performed for our first dance song was just perfect! Our guest all commented on how good you were and it really made our day to know that everyone loved the music and had a great time. Josh and I were so overjoyed with how great you were on the day and in the lead up to it that we wanted to express our deepest thanks! Kindest regards, Alex and Josh"
