About Light Blues – professional Blues & Jazz band based in Toulouse, France
Light Blues is a quartet that invites you to wander and drift down the Mississippi through many times.
This band, formed by four multi-instrumentalists, aims to explore the various styles of blues.
The journey focuses on Work Songs and Gospel, with challenging stops ranging from Swing to Rock & Roll.
The dance begins with four voices, followed by tuba and double bass waltzing through New Orleans and Swing homage.
The singer's warm and dynamic voice connects Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, and the Golden Gate Quartet.
The pianist's explosive solos showcase the richness of cross-cultural music, while the snare drum adds vitality to the overall performance.
In 2013, these four artists met at Music'Halle, the School of Lively Musics, in Toulouse. Something was brewing…
Choose a pianist from Marciac and the Wec family. Recruited a double bassist from the Power Manouche of Turbo Niglo Trio. Combine a drummer from Normandy with the New-Orleans Groove of the Fanflures Brass Band, followed by a vocalist who is a spiritual heir to Little Richard and Etta James.
You get a Blues Gumbo that will carry you away.
Light Blues can also add sax, trumpet and/or guitar to their main lineup.
