London-based cellist Lydia Perez provides both classical cello music and her unique high-energy electric show for weddings and events.

Lydia is a proficient and experienced session player. She has shared the stage and performed with artists such as Snow Patrol, Stealth, Matt Mitchell.
She frequently undertakes studio session work and has recorded in prestigious venues such as AIR Studios, RAK Recordings, Abbey Road Studios, and Trident Studios.
Other highlights include premieres by composers Michele Sarti, J.A.Simarro, M.Bustamante and A.Noguera, and a Spanish program through Spain and London.
In 2009 she founded Trio Artres in Madrid. In her solo performances, she works regularly with pianists, Tobias Haunhorst, Alastair Finlay and Omar Sánchez.
In 2012 she recorded a live recital of works by Britten, Shostakovich and Rachmaninov for RNE and ETB.
She has participated in a number of festivals, including Santander International Festival, Pablo Casals Festival and Luigi Boccherini Festival.
She also attended Pablo Casals Summer Academy and Cagliari Summer Academy. At present, she is committed to a number of performance activities in Europe.
During her studies in Spain and in London she participated in masterclasses led by Philippe Muller, Ivan Monighetti, Peter Maintz, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Colin Carr, Anner Bylsma, Talich Quartet, Artis Quartet and Quiroga Quartet.
Lydia started her studies in Santander at the age of eight. She also began chamber music and orchestral studies at this early age.
She graduated with top marks from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid with Prof Iagoba Fanlo and Royal Academy of Music of London with Prof David Strange (Prof Emeritus at RAM), and baroque cellist Joey Crouch. She received Music Awards including "Marcelino Botin Award"
In competitions she was a finalist in the Intercentros Melomano in 2008 and in the Wilfrid Parry Brahms competition in 2013.
She has started a collaborative work with composers M.Sarti, A.Noguera, J.A.Simarro, M.Bustamante, bass player Miguel Angel Chastang, among others.
Lydia plays on a cello she commissioned from Jean Seyral.
