"We booked Willow Ceilidh Band (as a three piece band and then disco with all the lights and gizmos) for our wedding in Buckinghamshire in October 2019 and they were fantastic. They were great at communicating in advance, and were really amenable when we made quite specific requests for our first dance, even down to adapting tempo and length for us. On the day, they arrived in plenty of time to set up...and then waited patiently as our wedding breakfast ran over by nearly an hour. They were really relaxed about adapting the planned sets to the time that was left and as soon as they started to play we were delighted with our choice of band - their sound was wonderful, and if you like Aly Bain, Phil Cunningham, etc., you will love their style. The caller was clear and our dance floor was full of dancers from all age groups for the entire ceilidh. After the ceilidh, Aidan took over as DJ and the disco lights went on, and he not only agreed to put his ears through our 1.5 hour list of ultimate cheesy hits of the 80s and 90s, but also kept the dance floor filled right up until midnight and didn't do any annoying talk-over as we've heard at some other parties! :) In short, we highly recommend them! "Will and the original line up of Willow Ceilidh Band played at our daughter's wedding in Worcestershire in July 2019. We also had the DJ option as an extra for the evening. They all did an excellent job of keeping the guests entertained during what seemed to be an exceptionally long evening. Initially due to the hot weather our guests seemed a bit reluctant to start dancing but soon joined in the fun. The music was spot on and enjoyed by all. We had several guests down from Scotland who were very impressed with the Ceilidh band and thoroughly enjoyed the dancing. The caller was both very patient and entertaining. We can't thank them all enough for spending a long and hot evening keeping everyone going. We would certainly recommend such a professional group of musicians."
