They have also performed in original music projects at some of the UK’s top jazz venues including Ronnie Scott’s, the 606 Jazz Club, Pizza Express Soho and The Vortex.

Robin and Jack met whilst studying at Leeds Conservatoire in 2010 and both graduated from the BA Jazz Programme with First Class Honours.

Robin went onto study on the prestigious postgraduate Jazz programme at the Royal Academy of Music in London where he graduated with distinction, whilst Jack has fast been earning a reputation as one of the capital's most versatile guitarists.

The duo’s repertoire includes a myriad of jazz standards from the Great American Songbook, as well as bossa nova, funk/groove-based tunes and some more contemporary pop songs.

Besides songs in our repertoire, we'll be happy to learn a special songs request for example for your first dance or dinner entrance, as long as this is shared with us in advance.

They can tailor their set and learn song requests for your occasion.

Our usual set-time are 2 x 50mins sets (within a time window of 2 hours) but we can also perform up to 4 x 50mins sets if requested.

We can provide an amplified performance and supply our own sound system. A small amplifier for guitar is always with us and for medium venues (60-120 people) we can bring a larger PA speaker (BOSE line array) for an extra cost.

For larger venues we would require a PA system to be organised for us and we do not provide any lights.

An unmanned playlist for background music during our breaks can be arranged, if we are providing a sound system.

Setup-time is about 15 minutes, but we always prefer to arrive around 1 hour before our performance start to make sure we have plenty of time to get organised and ready.

We require a minimum of 2m (wide) x 1.5 (depth) to perform. This space will need to be larger for bigger line-ups e.g. trio/quartet.

Blue Notes Duo are also covered by Public Liability Insurance and all their equipment is PAT tested.

If any of the performances have been agreed to take place outside, the client must ensure that either cover or a shaded area is provided for the musicians. If cover is not provided and it rains, or if cover/a shaded area is not provided and it is very sunny/hot, the musicians will not be able to perform outside. The musicians will make every effort to set up and perform in another space agreed by the client and venue.
