Review of High Jinx (4-piece pop & rock wedding band with male vocals) by Ross Reeves
"High Jinx were absolutely phenomenal. Honestly. We couldn’t have asked for more on our big day. They were extremely accommodating with our timings, driving through the night to ensure they would arrive early enough to get the sound check out the way to ahead of guests arriving. They were also patient with the delay in starting the music (we had slight issues with the timing of the of the meal, which started late), and gave us extra time after their set finished, allowing us to listen to music through their sound system for a long while afterwards. The set itself was fantastic. I was in a band myself for some years so could fully appreciate their excellent equipment and how tight they were musically. They literally had the whole crowd up on their feet throughout the set (we do also have a fantastic and lively crowd of friends and family, so I like to think that it was a perfect symbiotic relationship!). Obviously we were aware that High Jinx were at the more expensive end of the price range, so as you can imagine, we had quietly kept our fingers crossed that they would prove their worth. Expectations were high, basically, and they totally smashed it out the park. Can’t rate them highly enough. Thank you to FixTheMusic also, for being so professional, attentive by email, and enabling us to find them in the first place."

"Dear Rascals, now that the dust has settled and the last of our guests has left, we wanted to write to you properly to thank you so much for an amazing performance on Saturday. We had both been so looking forward to your performance, but despite having watched your videos and heard your demos, we were completely blown away by your set. Many of our guests commented that you were the best band at a wedding they had ever seen. Others wanted to know who you were and where on earth we had found you. Personal highlights include seeing Nico walking and strumming his guitar along the terrace of the chateau, as well as Nico dancing back to back to Take Your Mama Out with our very pregnant best friend, and making my aunt feel like she was in her twenties again! Takes on Daft Punk, Mark Ronson and, of course, our first dance, were very special moments. We wish we had a recording of the whole performance! "The Travellers played at our wedding and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE! To give you a sense of our wedding, we’re in our early 30s .. we had tipis in a campsite.. and loads of people there were really into music. We therefore spent ages looking for a band which would get all generations on the dance floor, who wouldn’t be cheesy and who would play a variety of styles of music. And we definitely made the right choice. Everyone danced all night long and had the best time ever! What we loved most about them (which made them unique) is their incredible mash ups… from a garage mash up to Stevie Wonder to pop and rock… just such a mix of amazing tunes and having them as mash ups means you get to hear about 3 times as many amazing tunes as normal! The band were all so lovely and super high energy. Thank you so much for everything and the rest of The Travellers crew!"
