The French Riviera (Côte d'Azur) is one of the most popular regions in France for destination weddings, and for good reason. The beautiful Mediterranean coastline, pleasant climate and excellent cuisine are just some of the factors that make the French Riviera such a hotspot for tying the knot, especially with British and American couples.
Whether it be at a private villa in Saint Tropez, a luxury hotel in Cannes or at a rustic church wedding in Nice, there are so many beautiful and unique wedding venues to choose from.
But when it comes to hiring a live wedding band on the French Riviera, it can be difficult to find exactly what you want for your special day.

In general, couples who head to the South of France for a destination wedding want a band that plays covers of British and American pop, rock and indie music (as well as some funk and soul thrown in for good measure). As such, English wedding bands are increasingly in demand to hop across the Channel to entertain at destination weddings in France.
Due to the demand for British cover bands to entertain at Côte d'Azur weddings, some have relocated to the continent permanently – for example, one of our bands who plays a mix of pop, rock and indie covers, consists of British musicians from London but they are now based in Nice where they entertain at weddings and parties on the French Riviera.
Our groups perform each year at many of the corporate events that take place along the French Riviera and in Cannes, including for the Cannes Lions International Festival, MIPIM, Cannes Yachting Festival and numerous other luxury events throughout the year in the Côte d'Azur.

What style of music do the French Riviera bands perform?
At FixTheMusic, we have curated the French Riviera's best bands available for hire. We have rock, pop and indie covers bands, jazz bands, soul and funk groups, as well as acoustic, roaming / strolling bands. We can also provide classical musicians, solo singers and guitarists, as well as other forms of musical entertainment for your wedding or event.
Several of FixTheMusic’s UK-based wedding bands are proving popular for destination weddings in the Côte d'Azur. Of course, travel expenses mean that it can cost roughly double the price of hiring these bands to perform in the UK, but it often ends up costing a similar amount to the local French bands.
What part of the wedding day will the bands perform at?
Our French Riviera musicians are booked most frequently to provide music for the wedding reception in the evening, where they provide music for the dancing. They usually play 2 x 45 / 60 minute sets with a short break in between, and can provide DJ music in their breaks and afterwards.
Our bands are also hired to provide music for earlier in the day – often at the wedding ceremony itself, or for afternoon cocktails. When the weather is warm and dry, it is common for the bands to be asked to perform outside, often as an acoustic band. As the musicians will be unplugged, it means they can roam amongst your guests, interacting with them and taking requests as they wander in between them.
On FixTheMusic, bands always provide quotes directly to you with a clear breakdown of costs so you can make an informed decision – no other costs are added, and once you’re happy to book, you can pay securely online via card.
FixTheMusic is free for event planners to use – the price you agree with musicians is the price you pay. There are no costs added on top and 0% booking fees!
