It’s over three years since three friends decided to set up a website to connect a curated selection of outstanding professional bands and musicians with clients wanting to book entertainment for events.
We had the idea for a website to allow clients to input the details for their event and the type of live music they wanted, and then for relevant musicians to get in contact directly with the client with their quote via our own messaging system, and for online payment by card when the client was ready to book.
We knew that online payment by card would be very popular with clients as freelancers like musicians are usually only payable by bank transfers, which are time-consuming to set up and don’t provide as much security to the client.
And on the musician side, we could then guarantee their deposit as soon as the client had made the payment, but by holding the deposit and the balance payment (due 45 days before the event), it also provided further security to clients as the funds would be released to musicians only after the completion of the event.
But aside from this payment security for both musicians and clients, we wanted to create a platform that featured only the very best musicians in the UK and Europe.
As co-founders, we had all studied Music at university and were all multi-instrumentalists. This meant we were able to discern the best wedding bands and musicians to add to the website.
Three years on, and we now have over 1,000 wedding bands and musicians on FixTheMusic, in virtually every country in Europe as well as outstanding musicians in the Middle East and Asia.
Our clients have only ever given us 5-star reviews on Facebook and Google, and this is something we are incredibly proud of.
We’ve helped clients book bands for destination weddings from France and Italy, to Dubai and China.
We’ve helped prestigious clients, from Google and Facebook to the world’s leading universities, hire amazing entertainment for their corporate events.
We will continue to improve our platform and have several new ideas in the pipeline as we strive to become the Airbnb for booking world-class live music for any event, anywhere.
